Keigo Kuyama
Born in Kobe, Japan, I loved drawing insects, scenery, people, and anything else I could see on paper. After graduating from high school, I studied drawing and watercolor painting at a preparatory school with the aim of becoming a Japanese painter, and then majored in painting techniques using Japanese art materials at university. The animated movies and rakugo I saw while being locked out due to the coronavirus made me decide to become an artist who draws stories.
When I create something, I create it by giving form to things that don't have a clear form, such as emotions, thoughts, stories, phenomena, and moments, using my own interpretation.
To achieve this, I create a more specific image, backbone, and character of the subject.
I also design and produce a variety of objects, including two-dimensional works, three-dimensional works, and video works, depending on the purpose and medium.
